Queen Elizabeth National Park itself boasts open savannahs, papyrus swamps, crater lakes, gorges and of course, a prolific variety of game. You can expect to see hippos, elephants, buffalos, hyenas, lions, leopards and waterbucks, to mention just a few. The lodge is located close to Kyambura Gorge, which is a prime spot for chimpanzee tracking and the Maramgambo Forest, which hosts a variety of butterfly species and flora and fauna. The area is also an ornithologist's paradise, supporting a remarkable number of birds, which include: Shoebill, Greater Flamingo and the Martial Eagle.

The 36km Kazinga Channel connects two rift valley lakes: Edward and George and the launch trip are a great opportunity to view the Channel's abundant wildlife.

Close by, in the southern sector of the park - Ishasha - you will have the chance to see the famous tree climbing lions, which can often be spotted relaxing in the branches of the fig trees.

Standard Safari Rooms:

1-2 children sharing with adults are charged a rate of $50 - full board, per child per night.

2-3 children in a room of their own are charged a rate of $75 - full board per child.

Deluxe Rooms:

1 child sharing with an adult is charged $60 per child per night.

1-2 children in a room of their own are charged $85 - full board per child.

These rates apply to ages 4 years inclusive to 12 years.

Cancellation Policy:

• 30% deposit in order to secure your booking
• Balance to be paid 30 days before the date of your arrival
• Any bookings made less than 30 days before your arrival date need to be made in full at the time of booking
• Any cancellations made more than 30 days before the date of your arrival will lead to a forfeit of the deposit
• 0-30 days - a cancellation fee of 100%

Other disclosures:

Rates are applicable from Jan-Dec, excluding Christmas and New Year festive seasons. During this time, a $35 supplement is incurred (per person per night for: 24th, 25th & 31st Dec & 1st Jan) $20 for children.

Rates include government taxes but exclude park entrance fees.
