Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge, nestled in the heart of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, is a perfect base from which to track the 'Nkuringo' Mountain Gorillas. The lodge is cosy, with fireplaces throughout and each room is a charming example of safari chic. On arrival, you are appointed with your own personal Butler, who will attend to your every need, around the clock.
Step beyond the luxury of Clouds and you enter the other worldliness that is the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Home to approximately 330 Mountain Gorillas (almost half of the world's total population), Bwindi is the only forest in Africa which has Chimpanzees and Mountain Gorillas co-existing. As well as hosting five other species of primate, the forest contains 113 species of mammal, over 200 species of butterfly, 360 bird species, 324 tree species and even a herd of forest elephant.
